Alkoomie: Some images of bats, birds and other fauna

Alkoomie has a very rich and diverse fauna. However, only very limited parts of the property have so far been surveyed and there is still much to discover.

These photographs are for a small selection of the fauna found on Alkoomie. Please note that while all of the bats shown are found in the caves and surrounds at Melody Rocks on Alkoomie, bats are very difficult to photograph and most of the bats photographs were taken elsewhere. Many thanks to Bruce Thompson for his extraordinary photos.
